As I sit here working, I wonder if everyone is looking forward to being off just because it is a holiday or because they get the time off.
My point of view is that we are given the time off for who Christmas is really designed for – the kids.
Sure, we get to give presents to loved ones and see family (this can be a good or a bad thing), but the coolest part of Christmas is watching kids in their PJ’s rip open gifts and scream with glee that they got something they really wanted.
Even better is the funny part of the afternoon were they get to try things out and better yet, watch Mom and Dad try to put it together.
That is why I am looking forward to going up to my sister’s tomorrow to stay over and wake up with the kids on Christmas morning.
